Your glasses should work for you — not watch you.
PRONOIA glasses only record when you tell them to. Nothing is captured in the background.
1. You start every capture.
Recording starts only when you press to capture. There is no always-on camera, no always-listening mic, and no background recording.
2. You can always tell.
When the glasses are recording, a clear indicator light shows it — so the people around you can tell too.
3. Your footage stays yours, on your device first.
Captures are stored locally first. Nothing uploads to a server unless you choose to share or export it.
4. Uploads need your say-so.
Any upload is explicit and authorised by you — no silent sync, no background upload.
5. We keep it minimal.
We collect only what an order needs to reach you. We do not sell your personal data.
What this means in practice
- No footage exists unless you pressed to capture it.
- If you never upload a clip, it never leaves your device.
- You can ask us to delete your order and account data at any time — reply to any PRONOIA order email and a human will handle it.
Before any order ships, we test each of these behaviours on real sample units — indicator light, app upload flow, and what happens when you do nothing — and we will not ship a product that fails them.
